Happy New Year to all you lovers of ghoulies and ghosties, and things that go bump in the night!
2016 will be filled to the bat-infested rafters with new adventures in the paranormal. What's coming up, you ask? Well...
1) The 2nd Edition of The History and Haunting of the Myrtles Plantation will hit the stores in late February with all new stories of paranormal happenings at this 220-year-old plantation nestled in Louisiana's haunted antebellum countryside. Murder, voodoo, ghosts and a fascinating history spanning the Civil War, Revolutionary War, plagues, fires and slavery. CNN dubbed the Myrtles Plantation "One of the spookist places in the world."
2) Join me as I take on the Lizzie Borden Bed and Breakfast in Fall River, Massachuetts in early May. I will admit to an affinity for this story. The infamous murder of Andrew and Abby Borden on a steaming August morning in 1892 has captured my imagination since I was in Junior High. Today, it is still America's #1 unsolved mystery. The owner of the Lizzie Borden Bed and Breakfast, Leann Wilbur, has given me permission to investiagate and photograph the house. I will also be talking with the lead curator, Michael Martins, at the Fall River Historical Musuem. They have the largest collection of Lizzie memorbilia and artifacts from the murder. This book is scheduled for release in July, 2016.
3) You can't write about the most-haunted places in the world without including the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. I was thrilled to gain permission from the hotel's owners to research and write about this historic landmark set high in the Ozark mountains. It will be a fascinating project, and I hope you will join me as I post pictures and comments of my discoveries along the way.
Be sure and check out the new 2nd Edition of The History and Haunting of the Stanley Hotel, and The History and Haunting of Lemp Mansion. Available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and retailers everywhere.
